i bought this Subaru Forester because i had heard good things about the brand. Over all i like the car but there are a couple of things that can be disastrous.
1. is the brakes when you apply them you often find your self stepping a lot harder to get the car to stop. and observation and possible problem is that the car stays accelerated after you let go of the accelerator. so the acceleration works against the brakes. it should be the other way around, when you apply brakes the acceleration should go to idle helping the car stop faster, not stay accelerated and work against the brakes.
one easy way to see this happen is as you are slowing down, put car in neutral and watch the acceleration go up when it should be going to idle. also if you brake in neutral you also notice better braking.
2. the car stays accelerated when you turn it on even if car is hot. this is causing my MPG to go down the drain. If i clear my MPG and use the car without restarting it will do normal MPG.
3. GPS is terrible but it seems they fixed that with 2016 model.
