paint defects dust under the paint
My daughter bought a new Subaru Impreza from Cricks Highway Subaru in Brisbane. She paid to put paint protection on the vehicle seeming the fact that it was her first vehicle that she bought with her own hard earned money. After two weeks she saw some paint damage on the bonnet. She was told it was bird poo damage and she needs to get the bonnet resprayed. As it was a new car that is not something she wanted to do. Cricks Highway inspected the vehicle and said that there were "small manufacturing defects on the paint with dust trapped under the paint". We wanted to investigate the matter to make an informed decision however both Subaru Australia and Cricks Highway bluntly refused to give us any information on the history of the car. We noticed that the people that did the pre delivery inspection didn't sign off on the body work. This raised further questions. Th matter now have to pursued in other ways as the customer advisor at Subaru was judge and jury of the matter and therefore we need to conclude that Subaru don't mind selling defective cars as brand new and also doesn't want to discuss the matter or rationally investigate the matter to satisfy the customer. Very very disappointed.
