Today, Nov 25, 2014, in Pittsburgh, PA. The car, Subaru Impreza, Feb. 2014 with 1,100 miles, accelerated like crazy while driving out from our driveway. It could not be stopped, while continuing accelerating crashed into a tree, about 30 yards from home. I think that the car is destroyed beyond repair. Fortunately, the airbags deployed and my wife could walk out of the car, with so far solely bruises and lots of pain. Inexplicable behavior of the car! Not sure if the lower airbag (which supposedly should protect the legs from knees down) deployed when hitting the tree or before, obstructing my spouse to reach the brake pedal.
