I praise Subaru for taking care of me but this has damaged my impression of the automaker. Without warranty, it would have cost $7,000 on a vehicle I was still making payments on! There are no serviceable parts. I had a bad bearing and the whole unit needed to be replaced. I wouldn't buy another Subaru or any make with a CVT. I tell everyone I know... Stay Away from CVT's!!!
Why would Subaru harm their reputation like this? I just don't get it. I bought this car, due to their used to be good reputation.
Hoping to sell my Impreza before the masses figure out these are NOT reliable. I'd be terrified to buy another Subaru. I'm afraid to push down on the gas pedal, my vehicle seems more like a toy than a robust machine... ouch!
