The tire sensors are just a pain-in-the-butt feature that costs you $$$ when they malfunction. Any idiot can check the tire pressure without having an idiot light notify them to do so. BAD DESIGN; not a feature, but a flaw. I truly wish Subaru would just concentrate on the inexpensive reliability they built their reputation upon. This extra crap just costs more when you buy the car; plus more to maintain.
The fluffy stuff is not Subaru's forte' anyway.
