This is the second time in two months that this has happened to me.
I believe there is a flaw with fuel pump in this car. I have driven this car with lower fuel levels before on my daily commute from Long Beach to DTLA. The instrument panel is very accurate and shows how many miles you have until you need to refuel (e.g. 50 miles = low fuel light ON, 40 miles, 30 miles, 20 miles then "---". Timmons in Long Beach is refusing to fix the issue. Their stance is that they checked the sensors and there's no indication of an issue and they can't replicate it, so they won't fix it. This seems to be a common issue for other Forester owners.
