While driving the vehicle (which has I, S, and S# modes), it would suddenly swap to turbo mode and the dashboard would light up with alerts. Turns out it was a small sensor on my brake pedal that would tell lots of other stuff in my car to work. Not a big deal in terms of fix as it was free but driving while that occurred and not being sure if my brake lights were being affected was nerve wracking, especially the hour interstate drive from my hometown to the dealership. Local mechanics would not fix as you had to reset the brake pedal.

The dealership I went to was not the one I bought it from (of course I went to Houston where the large volume means cheaper cars) and were pretty snotty but that's their fault and not the cars. Overall I have really loved this car but having to get it to an out of town dealership when it's a dealership only fix (meaning sometimes towing it an hour and then having to arrange a way to pick it up) is the pits so my dreams of having a Subaru for 10 years will have to wait on a dealership in town.
