This is a downstream problem of excessive oil consumption-roundly ignored by Subaru and Subaru Dealers; thankfully I have a giant pile of money to keep this car running. Start looking for a replacement car if you have excessive oil consumption as the dreaded P0420 is coming with a $3,000 bill.
