While driving on a five hour trip with cruise contr set at 75mph, you could feel the cruise control disengage, however the cruise control lamp was still lit. Rpms hit over 5000, could hear the engine surge but with no acceleration. Finally got the car pulled over, engine sputtered, all the lights came on then it died. Took about 15 mins before the car would start again. Had 60 miles to empty. This is a huge problem, i was on a busy highway and this could have gone very badly.
