CarComplaints.com Notes: Subaru thinks burning through a quart of oil every 1,000 miles or so is perfectly normal. That's a crude stance if you ask us.

AT about 6500 miles the brakes would creak when you release the brake pedal , it is the loudest after the suv sits over night then gets a little quieter after using the brakes. some times it sounds like the brake pedal itself and other times it sounds like the rear calibres, very annoying in stop and go traffic.I have taken the vehicle to the dealer 3 times, the first time they greased the caliper pinsthat took care of the problem for acouple of days, the second time i took it back thte dealer kept thevehicle over night. icame in the next day while their brake technision looked at the brakes after an hour or two the service writer had me go into the service bay to talk to the technision ,i sat in the forester and pumped the brake pedal with the technicion in their with me and the the brakes still creak. the tech said they changed the braking system in the 2014 - 2015 foresters that noise was just a chararistic of those model years, I TOLD THE GUY THIS IS A 25,000$ VEHICLE IT SHOULD'T CREAK, he didn't have much to say.i had the service writer put it in writing that the brakes pedal or calipers do make noise when released. Third time i went to a differant subaru dealer they took the brakes apart had me go back to talk to the technician he said he could't find anything wrong,so he greased all the parts washed the car i went home 2 days later same problem. I now have 18,000 miles on the forester same issue it hasn,t gotten worse the brakes stop the suv really good,no problems their. Other than the brakes creaking like a door with rusty hinges when u release the brake pedal I'm very happy with everything else with the forester, maybe its just the crappy wisconsin weather ?
