CarComplaints.com Notes: Is burning a quart of oil every 1,000 miles normal? Depends on who you ask. While Subaru says it's within "normal specifications," owners wonder why they need to top off their oil reservoir 4 times between every 5,000 mile oil change.

Backed Forester out of garage and power steering stopped, could barely turn steering wheel. Pulled back in garage, opened hood, belts running and intact. Restarted car steering now functioning properly. Now found out car has electronic steering therefore no belt or fluid reservoir. This on review seems to be a faulty system. I will take into Suburban Subaru tomorrow to look for TSB and hopefully have fixed. If l get in an accident, please hold Subaru responsible for any injuries or deaths.
