CarComplaints.com Notes: Is burning a quart of oil every 1,000 miles normal? Depends on who you ask. While Subaru says it's within "normal specifications," owners wonder why they need to top off their oil reservoir 4 times between every 5,000 mile oil change.
I had just got in my car (alone) put the car in Drive and all of a sudden the DOOR OPEN LIGHT for driver side comes on the dash comes, I got out open and closed back driver side door, got back in and closed my driver door. Put the car in Drive again and the DOOR OPEN LIGHT for Passenger side comes on, got out opened and closed both doors on Passenger side. I got back in the car put it in Drive AGAIN (3rd) time and the Hatch Open Door Light comes on, got out and opened and closed the hatch and got back in. I put the car in Drive AGAIN (4th Time) and all THREE LIGHTS FOR OPEN DOOR COME ON TOGETHER (DRIVER SIDE, PASSENGER SIDE AND HATCH).
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ANNOYING AND RIDICULOUS! I swear I have the damn LEMON OF THE 2014 SUBARU FORESTERS!
I WOULD NEVER OWN ANOTHER SUBARU! Subaru of America does not stand behind their vehicles or customers.
