My Blue Tooth has not been working for OVER 1 YEAR! I've had my Forester in SEVERAL TIMES for this. I had stereo replaced in 11/2017 & was told that if it doesn't work, it could be my phone. I updated my phone & STILL DO NOT HAVE A WORKING BLUE TOOTH! My calls drop even though it says I'm connected. Amber Anglin from Subaru of America says my stereo is just old & should not have been replaced because it's just an old stereo.
I was never told when I bought this car that Subaru does not support Samsung phones. I originally had a Samsung S7 and just upgraded to S9 & still have the problem. Elk Grove Subaru is the one that said I should upgrade my phone - I did. I have tried to listen to music through my phone and it doesn't play. I get a call, I answer it, and it drops off of Blue Tooth & says that it's still connected. I had to hurry up and get my phone and put it on speaker to continue the call, regarding my child. I have attempted to push redial on my steering wheel and it says to check my audio system... and STILL SUBARU of America & Subaru dealers say there is nothing wrong with my stereo. Subaru of America still says its my phone.
Subaru is dishonest when telling me when I bought my expensive car, stating "Oh yea it has Blue Tooth and it can be paired to ANY PHONE". So why does it not pair to my phone? I have spoken to several people at Subaru of America and they all keep asking what kind of phone do I have, and who is my provider?? Why does any of this matter?!! When I have had it in, this last time at Maita Subaru, they told me that the technician had their phone paired to my stereo for 15 consecutive minutes and was listening to music through it too and never had a problem... upon which I was told the technician has an iPhone.
I do not care that their technician didn't have the same problems that I continue to have on a DAILY BASIS... SUBARU NEEDS TO STOP TREATING THEIR CUSTOMERS LIKE THEY ARE LYING!
