CarComplaints.com Notes: Is burning a quart of oil every 1,000 miles normal? Depends on who you ask. While Subaru says it's within "normal specifications," owners wonder why they need to top off their oil reservoir 4 times between every 5,000 mile oil change.

The 2014 Forester has multiple problems. The heating was mediocre with multiple visits to the dealer. Finally a call was mad to SOA who sent a new thermostat. Many people report this problem. It is now getting warm and the A/C is intermittent. The first dealer visit resulted in no problem found. Second visit to dealer resulted in a defective compressor found. New compressor ordered. Also, like others have reported, there is an intermittent hesitation in the CVT.
