- PCV Valve - Oil Consumption - Change the PCV Valve if you have oil consumption. Also change the EGR Valve for a rough idle. Both should be change 60/80k miles because they become clogged, therefore you will burn oil (PCV) due to pressure build up inside the engine, EGR Vale will cause a rough idle. Issues with honda, mazda, subaru, mercedes are more prevalent.

The low oil light popped up after 8000km. I took it to Denlo Subaru in Parramatta and they were saying that I should always check the oil???!?! Not after 6 months. They were terrible and eventually organized to get an oil consumption test. They changed the Engine block, piston rings and after 6 months again, it had the same issue. = Oil Light Popped up. I got another oil consumption test, and this time it was within the borderline and within tolerance. How can that be?? I had enough of the car and enough of Subaru so I bought oil (0w/30) and kept topping it up till the end of my lease. I was excited to get rid of that car.
