This is the 3rd time this problem has occurred. It has already cost me close to $2,000. in repairs for the first two times. Have not had this one priced yet.
First time was approx. 2 years ago; all wiring around the engine replaced by dealer and new wiring covered w/ 'mouse proof tape".
To date no re occurrence in the front of car.
Rear harness destroyed wiring; replaced approx. 1 1/2 months ago - now chewed up again. With a rodent nest inside engine on the battery (after 3 days of not using the car). I have not as yet gotten an estimate to fix.
Have been putting out poison baited traps. I'm also now keeping the hood up and running the engine daily.
