Driving along about 40 km. attempted to accelerate, no response, then suddenly surged forward. I made it home and called BCAA to pick up the car. The service center kept the vehicle for a few days and could not duplicate the problem. No codes showed up. Mass airflow sensor and throttle body control cleaned. I paid $131, drove out of shop and after only going a few hundred yards, same problem! This time they replaced spark plugs at cost = an additional $70.80. Drove off feeling confident...for about a week and about 75 kms., until the original problem reoccurred, was just able to pull over and get out of traffic, called again for tow. This time they put in a new battery - $170.88. All went well for another 100 kms. or so and then, it happened again...pedal not responding, going about 40, couldn't accelerate, took foot off pedal and car continued at same speed. Now what?
