The summer after my parents bought this car used (10/07) I started hearing rattles from the sunroof track when it was opened almost all the way. I dealt with it using our dog barrier which braces against the floor and ceiling, it helped. It's a really annoying problem and I have heard it's an issue for Foresters with the massive panoramic sunroofs. But it seems repairing it would be costly and time consuming considering all the stuff you'd have to disassemble.
