There are loud clunks and sometimes a grinding noise when doing harder than usual stops. A dealer employee test drove and said it is the ABS function "kicking in, it's OK you're set to go".
All those that I talk to, most of who have ABS and including a Subaru owner, say it does not happen for them.
They do not think it is natural. What is one to do?
Update from Nov 11, 2019 Problem solved : The tires were over inflated to beyond 40psi. The problem disappeared when the air pressure was adjusted to 32 psi. My Subaru Crosstrek is a wonderful automobile and like most all Subaru owners I love it.
