Lease my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek and started experiencing the infotainment system have some off and on issues about a month now. o
Noticed a number of times that when I went to use my GPS all my previous locations were blank. Could not use it so pulled over and turned vehicle off, wait a bit and restart vehicle which seemed to fix the problem at times.
Took my vehicle in to Subaru for its regular service and also told them of my Starlink dash freezing up so they indicated it would need a "up date" which on January 4th 2019 I took in and got done. I do not drive a lot but thought all was going to be good now. Unfortunately I was mistaken.
On January 12 2019 I had taken a trip to Toronto and on my way started to have the same problem but this time it was worse. I was backing up and my rear camera acted really weird switching on and off and distorted which caused me to bump into the darn sign post. Did not do a lot of damage but a small indent. Then when I was leaving to head back home all was fine.
Then on January 17th 2019 went to Collingwood for a visit and take my Aunt and Cousin out and experience the Starlink dash freezing up and powering on and off, could not turn off or adjust and anything, everything frozen. Called Subaru right away and they said something about an update which I stated was already done so Subaru said they would have the sales person whom I dealt with call me back. They said if there was a recall I would have received some sort of information. Well, I have not received anything to date and this sort of issue should definitely be recalled before it causes a bad accident and not just a small bump as indicated above.
I moved from Toronto to a small town now and this has been a real pain as I am now not near a Subaru dealer. Especially after just getting the vehicle "update" done and this has not worked. I am really concerned now and more then extremely frustrated.
