- Transmission - 2006 B9 - Transmission keeps shifting with out any input changes made by me - mechanic reviewed and tested problem and stated that was OK for the B9 few days later another incident and the check engine light came on - this time tested and put new transmission fluid in - tested and found metal filings - wanted $4000 for new transmission, plus a battery leak resulted in corrosion of a cyclinder which cost $2000 - now can't afford repairs - retired and monies not available

This vehicle has been giving me constant problems ever since I purchased it. I purchased it certified pre-owned in which every year I have had issues with it. This complaint is for the transmission. It refuses to change gears. It's stuck on gear one and two. I took it to a Subaru dealership, and all they can say is that they don't know what the issue is and they suggested a transmission flush. I paid for that, and it didn't do anything. When the transmission refuses to change gears I can barely make it past 40MPH. Ugh, I am over this car. Do not purchase it. My other complaints about the build of the car will follow.
