There was a SUDDEN and UNINTENDED acceleration without driver input while braking to park. We were going approximately 1-2mph. Our safety was at risk. The vehicle was not in our control. Rather than stopping we accelerated into an apartment building! As a result there was significant damage to the vehicle and the apartment building.
I was slowly pulling into a parking spot at the beach and the car accelerated out of control. Brake pedal was inoperable and the automatic braking never engaged. This car has audible signals for everything, but no warning was given.
