After long journeys (normally 1-2hrs) the glow light comes on, safety mode kicks in, cruise control lost. After remaining switched off for 30 minutes, all faults disappear and engine performs normally.
On one of the later occasions (this has been happening for the whole of it's life) the light that shows the picture of an engine came on as well.
At service the mechanic has identified the occurrence on his computer but can not diagnose the problem.
