The contact owns a 2010 Scion Xd. The contact stated that the rear driver's side seat belt failed to latch securely. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a local dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact was informed that the warranty was expired and that no assistance would be provided. The failure mileage was approximately 69,000.
