The car would not start or turn over - it wouldn't even click. All the lights worked, the radio, a/c, power windows & locks...the engine just would not react when I turned the key. It was as if I were trying to start the car without engaging the clutch first, or as if someone had applied a kill switch. There was just no reaction at all from the engine, though everything else seemed to be working perfectly. The car was in neutral, the clutch was engaged, the seatbelt was fastened, the doors were locked...I checked everything. Called a tow truck & settled in to wait. Got bored 10 min. later and turned the key - voila, the car started like nothing had ever been wrong. Went to the dealer who said there's nothing they can do to test for the problem since the battery is fine and the check engine light is not engaged.
