2005 Scion Xb windshield. Rock chips turn into huge cracks! I have never had a vehicle windshield do this. What would the point be in replacing it"! are there any recalls for these windshields"

2005 Scion Xb windshield crack in the midline, between the wipers. For no apparent reason the crack continuously increasing length. Didn't hit anything nor it occured from some object. Bought this car used from the dealer and from the looks of it this windshield is not oem stock, might be replaced windshield and possibly this issue has occured before.

We have a 2005 Scion Xb. Road debris hit the car one month ago, but the crack on the windshield, starting on the passenger side edge, appeared 2 days back. It appears unrelated. Insurance policy did not cover cost of replacement of the windshield. The crack is more than a foot long.

The Scion Xb seems particularly prone to windshield damage. A tiny rock hit it once before, and a large crack formed almost immediately. I replaced the entire windshield and then within 2 weeks, I had the same situation again.

I have a 2005 Scion Xb I have had to have the windshield replaced so far due to cracks caused by rocks. I just found out that this is a common issue with Scion Xb's but Toyota of Scion is no help what so every they keep giving me the run around. I have never had any type of problem like this with any other cars I've had and have never had to have a windshield replaced. This car seems like !! I have contacted Scion with no luck. When will this be fix??
