I slammed the brakes, and my Saturn took off like a rocket, there was a man and a child in front of my car, I hit the child, applying the brakes did nothing, the car was out of control, it was going faster and faster, I kept braking, but the car just kept going at a high rate of speed, I threw my transmission into park it still was going fast, the engine died, and I was able to coast to a safe stop.my car had gone a mile, before it finally stopped.the child had a broken jaw. I got a hold of the police, they still have my car in police impound, I will never drive that car again. I am still waiting to here if I am going to be charged with hit and run
