Took the vehicle to a standard car wash that I have used many times. Upon getting home, noticed the paint had flaked off during the car wash. Took the vehicle by a couple of body shops to determine the cause and get estimates on repairs. Was advised by both body shops that this is a common problem with this model of GM vehicle. Especially with the plastic body. Both stated that the paint does not adhere to the body. Once a small chip or scratch happens, it will allow the water to enter between the paint and the body. One body shop stated my vehicle was the second one with this problem in less than 30 days. The only repair option is to remove the door, completely strip all paint from the door then repaint the door. Both confirmed that this problem occurs to the doors only. Bumpers, hood and quarter panels have not had this problem.
