We are currently working on getting our car back into the shop for the manual shifter again. Less than eight months ago we had to have the plastic piece replaced as our shifter broke while driving. Luckily no one was hurt, but prior to it breaking the vehicle was hard to shift. We made an appointment to get it looked at and it broke prior to the appointment.

The last few days our car is having the same problems as 8 months ago. At this time we are making an appointment again to get it looked at and are not driving it since it seems to break for multiple people while driving.

I honestly feel from the amount of people who have complained over this that it should be a recall. The first replacement was around 50k miles. Now it looks like we may need to replace the cable.
