Chime sounds when starting vehicle and placing into reverse or drive. Car sometimes stalls when chime is sounding. According to manufacturer, the chime indicates a problem with the engine. According to manufacturer, Saturn, it is covered by tsb 1700388. This has been going on since August of 2005. Increase in frequency and severity. Dealer unable to fix problem even when following tsb.
