I was going to work, went to start the car, and the key wouldn't turn. I have had problems with the key falling out while driving, but have always been able to reinsert key. I called the dealer with this problem, which has a recall for my model and year. I was informed my VIN was outside the recall range. They would be happy to fix it for a $80 dollar inspection, then parts and labor. I can't afford to have the car towed, fixed, and who knows what cost. For the past week I have had to beg for rides to work. It sure seems like my problem is the same as all the other ones reported here, including make, model, and year. How GM can say my vehicle is not in the correct range is unbelievable.
