The contact owns a 2004 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, there was smoke coming from the steering wheel housing without warning. The failure occurred on two occasions. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the wiper switch needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The approximate failure and current mileage were 107,353. Updated 07/16/14
