30 AMP standard factory windshied wiper fuse did not prevent original wiper motor from burning out
I have been able to run wipers in heavy rain or snow, with 10 AMP fuse, need 15 AMP fuse in winter, during severe ice storms
Replace stock 30 AMP fuse, in right side of transmission console, with 10 or 15 AMP fuse now, before windshield wiper motor burns out
IF YOU DO NOT REPLACE 30 AMP WINDSHIELD WIPER FUSE NOW, YOUR WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL PROBABLY FAIL IN A HEAVY RAIN OR SNOWSTORM, WHEN YOU NEED THEM THE MOST
replacing wiper motor can waste half a day, since it is under dash, below defroster ventwork and the motor will probably cost at least $80. Resetting windshield wipers to correct parked position was very time consuming, trial and error process.
JB cold weld has worked well - the original factory design is pathetic and designed to fail - very tiny fine brass motor spindle splines, inside steel? circular cutout wiper linkage connection,
the nut does really hold the linkage connection together tightly enough
