just driving my car like normal (manual transmission). then, nothing. couldn't shift in or out of gear. the stupid handle was just wobbling around. took the console off and noticed that the grommet connecting the shifter to the cable was broken. ended up going to dealership to buy the part. here's where things just burn me. you can't buy the little 98 cent plastic grommet... you have to buy the entire cable, $200!!!!. with installation, an whopping $592. not to mention, the car would have to be towed to the dealership for repair. the cashier could quote the price off the top of her head. her words "someone comes in everyday for this." this service dept. was laughing because i was so shocked at this price, i eventually walked out and the car is being towed home at this very minute because i refuse to pay that much for a car worth only about 4-5 times that amount. looking online for the part myself, better yet the plastic grommet.
