The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Outlook. The contact was driving approximately 15 mph in extremely heavy rain conditions. Suddenly, the entire instrument panel lighting became dim and there was a loss of powering steering for a period of thirty seconds. The failure occurred four times in rainy weather conditions. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection. The technician stated that the failure was contributed to the front fender liner. The vehicle was repaired for the malfunction. The identical failures continued to occur after the service repair was performed. The failure mileage was 27,689.

The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Outlook. The contact noticed that the background on the instrument panel gauges was extremely dim with highlighted numbers that prevented him from seeing the indicator. The dealer stated that they have not received any report so they could not provide any assistance. The failure mileage was 3,500 and current mileage was 7,000. Updated 4/2/08 updated 04/02/08
