Bought this car used in Feb. 2012 from a dealership. Car only had 62,856 miles. Drove it for less than 5 months and timing chain broke and damaged engine. Car still has less than 70K miles. I discovered information about a Nov. 2007 General Motors recall on this model car (L Series) for timing chain failure due to defective timing chain design but only cars manufactured Nov. 2000 - Feb. 2001 were repaired. I called Saturn twice and was told my car was not one of the VINs included in the 2007 recall so they could not help me. My car has the defective timing chain design and GM knows it but failed to do the right thing and recall all Saturns with this problem. I am one of hundreds of other Saturn L200 owners who this has happened to. We did not repair the car as the cost to repair was too much for the value of the car. Do not buy a Saturn. I will continue the battle with GM.
