The consumer was injured. The consumer stated the key was in the ignition switch. However, it was already in the off position. Also, prior to the accident, the brakes would go all the way to the floor. However, the dealer was never able to duplicate the problem.

The key would not turn or come out of the ignition switch. On June 5, 2013, the consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, because the vehicle would intermittently stop running at random times. The invoice stated, they checked codes, monitored fuel pressure, tested the battery, wiggled and tapped tested the app PCM, ignition wires and relays, etc. And no trouble was found. The vehicle shut down 3 times, on her way home. The consumer returned to the dealer the next day, and asked if the vehicle shutting down had something to do with the original ignition switch being replaced, because it was not shutting down prior to the replacement. The consumer believed the replacement ignition was faulty. The consumer has since traded the vehicle.

This light comes on periodically, most of the time it comes on when it is hot outside. Prior to this light coming on I had problems with my power steering locking on me while I was driving. I am not sure if these two events have anything to due with one another but this car is very unsafe if the airbags do not deploy if a accident and the power steering locks up on you while you are driving on the freeway.
