One thing the 2008 does share with the 2007 is a recall of a busted gear shifter cable which can make it look like your car is in park, when the transmission is still engaged. You can only imagine what kind of fun that causes.

lost reverse and forward is stuck on second gear. with such low mileage how can it need complete rebuilt ? i believe its something minor but i don't know.
anyone had this problem with the saturn 2008 xr? the car is really nice and clean. its a shame the trans has gone out with 39k miles . if you know something about this please let me know anything helps . thanks
