Bought a new Renault Kiger in Chennai 2 years ago and regularly serviced it in Renault. Recently, car did not start with "Brake fault" warning message in dashboard and we were asked to tow the car to service center and they charged 15K rupees to change the battery and fix problem. After returning home, the problem happened again within a week and service people came to home can informed battery is down and they took and gave back with re-charge after several calls and follow-up. Now, the battery went down again and we were told it could be due to some custom equipment's installed or blue tooth connections in the car. So, we removed the custom horn and removed blue tooth connections and installed the recharged battery. We are still facing the same problem after 3-4 days and we are frustrated and disappointed with Renault car and this problem within 2 years after buying it.

TN 14Y 7529 31 Oct 2023: Renault Kiger Turbo CVT Sep 2021 model and driven only 7600km. complaint number: 4-18965206.
Friends, I parked my vehicle near a busy place in Besant Nagar, Chennai, India at 11.30am for about 30 mins and when I started the vehicle, it wouldn’t start. I started getting a messages in the dash board saying “Brake System Fault”. I tried a couple of times and now got messages like “check ABS”, “power steering fault” but the car wouldn’t start. I observed that the auto gear system got jammed and I cannot move the lever from parking and the entire vehicle look unfunctional. I had done my second year service only a month back and take extremely good care of the vehicle, though I get only about 7.6-7.8 kms mileage.
I called my service centre (Renault Authorised in Chennai) where I have been servicing and had good relationship. I was told that they would send someone but got another call in 10 mins asking me to tow the vehicle, giving a 1-800 number, service centre is just 4kms from where I parked the vehicle. I was alarmed and worried as why the vehicle needs to be towed and called Renault customer care and was told that they will try to help. I also called service centre customer support saying that I have been asked to tow my vehicle. Subsequently I was told by the service station at around 2.3pm that they will send a person in support vehicle. I kept waiting and even by 3.30pm no one came for help. I started calling the service station and service customer support as why there was such a huge delay as it would not take more than 15-20 mins max. They said they will update but when. I tried calling them they refused to pick the call, including the customer support person in the service centre. Finally by 4.30pm 2 technicians arrived, used their battery to jump start and plugged their laptop and car kit and reset the flags. I was told that it is possibly be due to battery low condition. I was stranded on the road from 12.45pm.
If it’s just the battery, I wouldn’t mind but all the electronics failed and only with their laptop and car specific kit they could reset the error flags. I got really psyched as what would happened if I were with my family and car stopped in a remote place (In heart of Chennai, 4km from service centre, it took close to 4.5 hours to make the vehicle start gain). My confidence has been shattered and don’t know what to do. I logged a complaint with Renault customer care (first called at 2pm when my vehicle was asked to be towed), with a detailed email and am given a complaint number: 4-18965206.
I started the vehicle yesterday morning after parking it on the 31st Oct night and the problem has resurfaced. All the details have been meticulously sent. Since yesterday I have spoken to them atleast half a dozen times and sent equal number of emails asking for response, including the south regional manager – Probably I need to send to Renault HQ France, if I get their id. I only get an answer saying the case is being looked at and please wait.
I am posting this as I wanted to know if anyone has faced this issue and what is the prognosis. Request you to share your inputs please

Friends, I was driving my vehicle near a busy place in Kengeri, Bangalore India at 12.30 am for about 1hr and Car suddenly stopped on the middle of road i was at 70 km. The dashboard showed power steering fault and turned off I started getting a messages in the dash board saying “Brake System Fault”. I tried a couple of times and now got messages like “check ABS”, “power steering fault” but the car wouldn’t start. I observed that the auto gear system got jammed and I cannot move the lever from parking and the entire vehicle look unfunctional. I had done my third year service only a month back and take extremely good care of the vehicle, though I get only about 7.6-7.8 kms mileage.
Now I am very scared to touch the car again, what if this had happened at highway, car stopping abruptly in the middle of the road. !!! I haven't got any response from the showroom yet on this issue. I saw similar complaint raised by another user chennai. Has anyone else facing this issue. Is this a known issue of Renault kiger of 2021 model.
