I was driving cross country and the light kept coming on. Everyone kept checking tire pressure but couldn't figure out what was wrong. None of the dealerships had an answer....I stopped at 6. Finally a dealership in Little Falls MN (Brandl Motors - Kelly Walters, service adviser gets a shout out for being awesome) said it was a problem that has been reported with increasing frequency. They reset it and it stayed off for awhile but then came back on and I lived with it for another 6000 miles until I got back home....but at least I knew that the module was the problem and not something more significant.
The problem was complicated by the fact that I also had a bum tire on the vehicle (egg shaped) and another awesome dealership in Bozeman, MT (Billion Auto Group) figured it out and rotated my tires so that the vibration was not so pronounced until I could get to a dealership that had the tire that I needed. I called ahead to another dealership in WA to order a new tire. Had to pay for it up front because some of the Ram dealerships live in the twilight zone...seriously....but was ultimately reimbursed for the $300 by my dealer (Bolles, Stafford Springs, CT...good people).
Love the vehicle but working out the bugs while I was driving cross country really damaged the first half of my journey.
