Whatever happened to drivetrain warranties? Used to be 10/100,000 miles in the past, well now apparently only 5/60,000, and at 71,000 this van just dies. The transmission screams terribly and will not move once it warms up for a minute or two. No dipstick now, so who knows if the fluid somehow went low. When using the oil dipstick I did confirm there is fluid in the transmission, but there were no leaks so not sure what really is wrong. Dealership would not return my call, this van is my personal vehicle, never used for hauling anything except a wheelchair and walker, babied to death and still paying on it!
Shame on Dodge for such a terrible disaster, the transmission shop said "they do a lot of these", which is not very encouraging. Someday maybe I can save up the 3,600 they quoted to replace it, but not anytime soon.
This is my third and last Dodge.
