Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) announced a noncompliance recall on certain 2014 model year (DP) RAM 5500 series cab chassis trucks equipped with a 4:10 axle ratio.
The certification label may have incorrect Gross Vehicle Weight Ratio (GVWR) information and an incorrect payload value on the Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation (TREAD) act label.
Chrysler will conduct a voluntary noncompliance recall on all involved vehicles to remove and replace existing labels with the correct labels.
Dealers will be notified of the launch of this noncompliance recall by way of established methods used in the past. Chrysler anticipates the launch of this noncompliance recall in March 2014.
