The contact owns a 2020 Ram 3500. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle independently went into limp mode and would not accelerate above 20 MPH. Due to the failure, the contact took the vehicle to a dealer where they discovered that a defective fuel pump had caused metal shavings to enter the fuel line, fuel rail, fuel tank, and fuel injectors. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 111,363.
