The contact owns a 2019 RAM 3500. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the high-pressure fuel pump, fuel rail, fuel filters, DEF, injectors, and internal gasoline tank pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to parts not being available. The VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V880000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part was not yet available. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 3500. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power and stalled. The contact pulled over to the side of the road for a few minutes before restarting the vehicle and continued to drive to his residence. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that there was metal shaving inside the rear fuel filter. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer who inspected the vehicle and stated that there were no metal shavings found in the rear fuel filter. The mechanic repaired the rear fuel filter however, the failure persisted. The contact then took the vehicle to Larry H. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Boise (222 S Auto Dr, Boise, ID 83709, (208) 514-0835) who inspected the vehicle but could not determine the cause of the failure. The contact was concerned that the failure was related to the CP4 fuel pump. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 36,500.
