Poor throttle respond when doing lane change, really really poor throttle respond, especially when doing lane change the throttle supper slow respond can causing a rear end from the safe on incoming lane changed distance to unsafe distance after the lane changed, this seriously can causing the crash by the rear end from the vehicle on the back. It also happened when merge into freeway when throttle is very important for driver to adjust the speed to make vehicle merge into the traffic smoothly. Reported to dealer service manager everytime drop vehicle for servicing but CAN NOT fix the issue. This happened when the dealer upgraded new calibration for power train by other recall. But before power train upgraded my vehicle dont have this poor throttle respond issue at all.

This vehicle has a safety recall I. The high pressure fuel pump. The dealership says they-??re unable to provide resolution due to part-??s availability. Reasonable time has been allowed and yet, no repairs have been made. The manufacturer should be required to buy back the vehicle or replace it at no cost to me.

We have this truck at our dealership and are unable to sell do to this recall. Recall has been out since November 12th 2012 and through Nhtsa it shows that it can be completed. I've talked with Ram recall assistance and they state that this truck is not able to have the recall completed and I asked for a buy back and they said I need to talk with my local dealer to start that process. I called our local dealer and they said they have never heard of that and are unable to help. They did say they have the part in stock to complete the recall however Ram will not release it to the 2019's and they can only do the 2020's recall which is the same thing.

went to start and nothing, battery is OK has a quick flash of fuel filter service. and still have 35% left according to the truck. I am guessing it is the fuel pump issue awaiting what the dealership states it has only 36000 miles so its still under warranty.

There is the known recall for my truck. 2019 Ram 3500 with Cummins diesel engine. The CP4 high pressure fuel pump if prone to failure and can cause the vehicle to immediately stall and possible causing serious injury. (Y78/NHTSA 21V-880) I took my truck in and was told parts are not available for 2019's. I called FCA customer service today and was told that the parts are available but only for vehicles with failed high pressure pumps. So I need for my pump to fail and possible injure or kill myself or someone else and they will complete the recall? Makes no sense. The consumer stated contacted Ram customer service and informed computers were down. Customer service couldn't provide an update for the recall.

Vehicle # 76 MD Tag # 3DS2550 a 2019 Dodge Ram pick up truck was parked at our facility on 7/6/22 at approximately 4:15 p.m. At 5:50 p.m. the truck was observed fully engulfed in flames, we attempted to extinguish the fire but were unable to do so. The Howard County Maryland Police and Fire Deportment were contacted and responded. ( Police Incident # 2259220 Fire Incident # 2022-020323) The vehicle and equipment on the truck are a total loss additionally the heat generated from the fire damaged other company vehicles. Fortunately, the fire was contained and did not spread to adjacent vehicles or buildings. We were awaiting notification that recall could be completed inasmuch as parts for the recall were on backlog and not available.

The component that failed in my 2019 Dodge Ram 3500 is the fuel system. The warning light that came across my screen indicated that it was the "exhaust". The vehicle abruptly went from 75 miles an hour to 25 mph to eventually stalling. At the time there was no engine light that illuminated my screen; It simply stated service exhaust. My safety and others around me were put at risk due to the sudden breakdown while traveling on a highway through the rocky mountains. I was fortunate enough to act quickly to avoid any possible danger to myself and others around me by quickly maneuvering my vehicle to the shoulder of the highway. Yes, a Dodge mechanic found fault in the fuel system, I have paperwork that indicates the malfunction with the vehicle's fuel system. The mechanic found metal shavings in my fuel filters replaced them and told me I was good to proceed on my route. He asserted that since the metal shavings didn't go past my fuel filters I have nothing to worry about. He also stated there's no remedy at this moment to fix the problem. The manufacturer hasn't taken action to fix their own recall. I am at a loss, my vehicle has sat at the dealership since April 12th, 2022.

Fuel pump failed at 103,000 miles while driving down the highway. Truck started acting funny slight loss of power. Pulled over to the side of the highway and turned truck off. Went to restart and it wouldn't restart. Had to sit on the side of the highway 43 with no amenities within 50 miles waiting for help. Unable to get a towing company directly 911 was called and CHP had to arrange a tow truck for more than 100 miles from destination. Truck was taken to mechanic that confirmed fuel pump failure that in turn took out the entirety of the fuel system. Has been at the mechanics since June 24th waiting on parts.

Truck lost throttle response at about 50mph. Coasted to a stop on the side of the road and as soon as it stopped the truck shut down and wouldn-??t restart. Check engine light came on and warning message read something along the lines of -??exhaust system service required see dealer-?? After researching these symptoms and warning message, I believe this to be a fuel pump failure. I was able to safely get my truck off the road, but I can easily see how this could be a safety concern depending on traffic. Truck will go to the dealership tomorrow.

I purchased my 2019 Ram 3500 back in Nov 2019 and I am very concerned about my family safety since my truck has CP4 pump that known to fail that leads to 10-20K in repair eventually will fail in the middle of highway with our 40ft camper, those scenarios will I think leads to my family to accident that all the sudden the truck loss the power and not only will impact my family also someone else in the highway. Please investigate this matter and recall my truck to have the CP4 pump replace with reliable one so that way when we do travel my family and everyone will be save, thank you for your time.

For thanksgiving I was driving home from a trip to California about 800 miles away from home, on a merging lane I stepped on the gas to clear lane for a emerging semi trailer I was traveling around 65 mph as I did that I got a warning message on my dashboard to service exhaust system then lost all power from my vehicle from 65 to 35 on interstate 5 a drastically slowdown causing the cars behind me to crash. I pull to the shoulder and my truck just died would not start had it towed to closest dealer next morning. Had to sleep with my new born in the cold truck. Once at dealer I was told the CP4 or high flow pressure pump had fail and the complete fuel system needed replaced. The estimate was for $20,000 but my insurance cover $13,000 of the bill the rest I had to borrow from friends and family. Service advisor said this is a very common problem on all new Ram. If it's so common why not fix the issue my whole family was out in danger that night and also was expensive. The issue is fix for now but is a matter of time before it happens again

The 2019 to 2020 model year Ram 2500 heavy duty equipped with a 6.7L cummins diesel engine has a major safety issue that could cause a stall and increase the risk of a crash. The Bosch CP4.2 fuel injection pump has a very high rate of sudden failure leading to immediate stoppage on the engine and engine braking system. The pump destroys itself and takes out the rest of the entire fuel system leading to repairs in the $20,000 usd range. Fca & Ram have attempted to revise the pump in late (July) 2020 to solve the issue but the failures keep occurring. For the 2021 model year, fca & Ram have changed the pump entirely and reverted back to using an older, safer, more reliable design. No public announcements of neither the pump revision in 2020, nor the pump change in 2021 have been made. The issue is so prevalent that the replacement pumps and repairs generally have a 30-90 day wait period where the customer is without the primary vehicle. This problem is a substantiated safety risk. According to a Texas judge in a Bosch CP4.2 lawsuit, when another automaker, GM tried to dismiss the case saying the pump failure is not a safety issue, the court responded: "the worst case scenario of a truck spontaneously stalling at high speeds is not a mere inconvenience. Nor is it a mere inconvenience to spend between $8,000 to $20,000 on repairs to make the trucks fit for their ordinary purpose. The court rejects GM's suggestion that the risk of spontaneous engine failure while driving is not, as a matter of law, unreasonably dangerous, depriving the vehicles of fitness for their purpose of transportation.". Toyota agrees: "if a vehicle stall occurs while driving at higher speeds, this could increase the risk of a crash". fca & Ram have remedied the situation for the 2021 model year however, the 2019 and 2020 owners are still at risk. The NHTSA needs to force fca to recall these trucks.

My truck is equipped with a defective CP4 injection pump. It's been changed twice since my truck was built, once in 2020 and again in 2021 to a different model. Ram has had many costly and dangerous failures with these pumps. I have not yet had a failure. However it's only a matter of time. When a pump fails it happens suddenly and not only does it wipe out the entire fuel system and sometimes the engine, it causes your engine to stall. This causes lack of power steering and no brakes. My 3500 is built to tow heavy trailers and in a situation with heavy traffic of a steep grade sudden lose of brakes could be disastrous, especially towing a camper with my family aboard. Ram knows of this problem and made a quick revision of the pump in 2020 and ditched it altogether in 2021 for a different pump. There needs to be a recall on these 2019 first model trucks with the known defective and dangerous CP4 injection pump.

2 weeks ago my brand new Ram 3500 with only 15000 on board didn't start, it didn't start in the morning on parking lot. Called a mechanic to have it fixed but they were not able. Same day called roadside assistance for towing and Ram customer service. Results: -Ram roadside assistance didn't cover the cost to dealer: Reason: Too close to the dealer. -Ram customer service took all the information, gave me a case id and said somebody will call you in 1-2 days. As of today I keep calling customer service once in 2 days, they keep issuing new case id's because old once are incorrect, and keep telling me will call you in 1-2 days. Nobody from Ram called so far. Dealer said: Fuel pomp failed and they'll get the parts in November, (August 21 now) and I can't tell them anything cause they will fix me even tomorrow if would have parts from Ram question: Why a brand new Ram has to sit 3 month in dealers shop, who is going to cover the payments and why I keep getting promises that somebody will call?
