The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle experienced complete brake failure. While driving, the brake pedal was depressed but was stiff and slow to respond. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the hydro-boost needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. While driving, the contact stated that the brake pedal was firm. The parking brake failed to engage fully. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the brake master cylinder and ABS module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case, but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
