There is a Nationwide shortage of the ABS Controller. Problem occurs constantly while driving and causes a failure to the Traction Control System and Cruise Control.

RAM needs to get this known problem fixed and issue a recall and supply parts.

Can't wait for a class action lawsuit to join/

As we drive the console sends messages to check ABS Module and service Electronic brake system accompanied with ANNOYING electronic ding ding ding. Have contacted numerous mechanics and dealers and they ALL tell me that there is a NATIONWIDE backlog of requests BUT NONE, ZERO ARE AVAILABLE AND NO ONE KNOWS WHEN THE MODULE WILL BE AVAILABLE. POSSIBLY IN 2024 or 2025!!!

In checking the forums etc this is a common problem and there SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL!!!

In the meantime we’re driving without anti-lock brakes pulling a travel trailer (full time RV’ers) and this has caused a few very scary skids and fortunately no accidents. The skids has caused flat spots on the rear tires resulting in early replacement before the normal life of the tires.

SHAME ON YOU RAM FCA!

Today I am having my issues with the abs braking system on my RAM truck hopefully fixed.............RAM should pay for this repair.......But no............I will pay Brookfield { dealer} here in Benton Harbor,MI, about $800 dollars out of my pocket............I have been putting up with dash warnings and annoying loud DISTRACTING sounds since on my RAM truck hopefully fixed.............RAM should pay for this repair.......But no............I will pay Brookfield { dealer} here in Benton Harbor, MI, about $800 dollars out of my pocket............I have been putting up with dash warnings and annoying loud DISTRACTING sounds since last year.........When you are driving; It is hard enough to just drive without having to listen to such distracting noisy annoyances...........It should be a SAFETY issue............You think?.................I have also been pulling a 40' trailer out of state under these conditions. There should be a class action law suit over this.

One of my largest complaints with this truck is the number of issues that it has, recalls are one thing, but there are issues that are more important than a tailgate falling off and there is no recourse but to pony up and pay for the expense. This is one of them. This actually could get someone killed.

Immediately after the 3/36 warranty expired the C0020-01 code flashed. When I took it to the local RAM dealer where I bought the truck, they lied about the code. Not knowing that I already knew what the code was, they told me it was due to the aftermarket trailer brake controller that I had installed (because the stock trailer brakes are inadequate). Their suggested fix was to charge me $1000 for a new integrated trailer brake control module. I think they were actually going to replace the HCU/ABS module and tell me it was the ITBM. I declined and decided to research the issue. After some investigation I became aware of the pending class action lawsuit. SIGN ME UP!

2018 Ram 3500 dually. The problem with the truck is this is the second time the abs electronic brake module has failed. Ram has zero in stock with back order until August. I was putting my truck up for sale next week with my rv as a package deal. I will be calling Stellantis to see if they can transfer my extended warranty to the new buyer when I sell it. It's also Unsafe to be driving this while towing. Should be a recall with the many thousands of modules going bad. I guess it'll take a certain amount of Deaths for this.

2018 Ram Dually 6.7L. 47,500 miles in August 2022. I love this truck, but c'mon the forums are covered with this problem. This is a recallable issue, so save all of us the $700 repair that will likely happen every 30,000 to 40,000 miles over and over again. This is a safety issue and non-working ABS on a heavy truck is no joking around. I get the flashing dashboard warnings over and over again...every 4 to 5 seconds with the beeping. It didn't matter if I was parked or top gear on highway. It always knocks out my cruise control. Frustrated this isn't under warranty, total recall or at least a Tech Service Bulletin and let us know the replacement part is a newer and better design or manufacturer. Ram gets a black eye from me on this poorly designed part. I ended up buying the part of Rock Auto for $300 and took the three hours to do it myself. Messy, tight space job, with bleeding the brakes...not for the uninitiated types.
