The contact owns a 2017 Ram 3500. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the "Service ABS system" warning light intermittently illuminated; however, the warning light disappeared while driving. The contact stated that the failure recurred, and the local dealer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 14,200. The contact stated that plenty of other FCA vehicles have the same exact issues. When the contact mentioned their experience with their local dealer, they were told that this happens all the time but the vehicle should still be safe to drive. The dealer was unwilling to open a case with the manufacturer and told the contact that it would take several months to receive parts and get it repaired.
