The contact owns a 2014 Ram 3500. The contact stated while driving 75 MPH, the steering wheel was consistently turning to the left independently. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact veered to the side of the road. The contact stated that upon inspecting the vehicle, he noticed that the front driver-??s side wheel was dislocated and turned to the left. The contact stated that upon wiggling the wheel to relocate into the normal position, he noticed that the front track bar bracket had started to detach from the frame. The contact stated that as he readjusted the front wheel, the front track bar bracket was pushed closer to the frame. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that front track bar bracket needed to be replaced or the entire frame needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle could be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V541000 (Steering) however, the dealer advised the contact that the manufacturer denied the request to cover the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 300,000.
