I bought this truck from Fowler Dodge on Jan 23 2015. Brand new 10 miles. I made the deal over the phone, caught a plane and flew to Oklahoma.
After picking up the truck on the way home it had such a bad shake I thought I was probably going to be killed or kill some one. When I got home I took it to my local dealer which is Peters in Longview TX. They told me the tires had flat spots from sitting on the lot and there was nothing they could do about it because tires are not covered under warranty. So I go back to pick up truck and call Fowler Dodge. The service manager tells me This is very common and this summer when the weather warms up if I would park on different spots on the tires it should fix itself.
So at this time I see neither dealership wanting to resolve the issue. In the mean time I post my problems to the Fowler Dodge Facebook page. Apparently they do not want there reputation tarnished because I got a call from the GM of Fowler pretty quick. After a week of listening to the lies of the GM he finally says, Just take the truck to Peters and get new tires put on it.
Now on 2/12/2015 I drop my truck off at 8 am to get new tires. Around 11:15 am the service man calls to let me know the truck is ready. I asked him, is it fixed, and his reply was yes, its fixed now it only shakes a little bit. So I leave with the truck and now it shakes worse than when I dropped it off. I called back to Peters and talked to service manager Dan Niper. He proceeds to tell me that all duallies shake. If this is the case why did they even put new tires on the truck to begin with?
Then he tells me maybe they have the wrong air pressure in the tires. So I asked him what are we going to do now. He said he would have to talk to his shop foreman and schedule another appointment and call me back but in the mean time just know that all duallies shake. This is my 5th dually and maybe the 5 I got was a bad batch but none of them came with the vibration package. So now I have a $58,000 truck that can not be driven due to the dangers of my self and others on the highway
Three visits so far and not fixed. The dealership said the alignment was way off but was not willing to pay for a new front tire which started to cup at 4,000 miles. I have had 8 Ram trucks over the years and if I do not get satisfaction Dodge will have a lawsuit and will no longer have my business.
After 9 trips back to the dealer, they say this is "typical characteristic for this vehicle". I dare anyone to drive/ride in this vehicle and say this normal! You cannot have any open container of liquid without it splashing all over the console, seat, driver and passenger!
